Community as a role model

It's been awhile since I posted on my blog.  I wanted today to reiterate the importance of being a good role model.  As I sat at the table sipping my cup of hot tea my son and lovely wife brought from Korea their last visit here, I find peace within myself and with God.  I am watching my granddaughters play and see how they micic what they see adults do.  Their words at playing house and with their dolls are an example of how they see parents with their babies.  The kindness and gentleness of a caring parent they see at the park(these are some of the parents of the children in their school) and ballet. They practice each movement of their dance with such flow of gracefulness and with the excitement the instructor Ms. Janell teaches them.
First Steps has a program on Thursdays at the library they attended.  The aura of learning filled the room with activities and stories read to the children.  Parents helped with their child's lesson supporting them with encouragement to strive better.  At church, my granddaughters not just learn bible stories, but they see the love and acceptance between children and their parents.  The bond that binds and guides our character through the years of learning and growing.  They have no where to go but to be leaders in our community with good people like this.  Community is a help to our future and helps us as parents and myself as a grandmother to create strong connections for the cornerstone of our family
